IMC Recognized for Innovative Practice at the 2026 Shenzhen Caring Action Event

The 23rd Shenzhen Caring Action Sharing Event was held recently, highlighting the city's achievements in fostering a culture of care and compassion. The International Mangrove Center (IMC) was named to the 2026 Shenzhen Caring Action Recognition List under the Innovative Practice category.

With Shenzhen hosting APEC meetings this year, the event holds particular significance. As an international platform for cooperation on mangrove conservation, restoration and sustainable use, the IMC has actively promoted international exchanges and practical cooperation since its establishment. Based in Shenzhen and working globally, the IMC brings together partners worldwide and fosters cooperation across borders and sectors. It also promotes the sharing of China's approaches and experience in mangrove conservation, restoration and sustainable use with the international community, marking its steady development from an international initiative into a global cooperation platform.

Looking ahead, the IMC will continue to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, deepen practical collaboration with its Member States and partners, and advance collective action for mangrove conservation worldwide. Through these efforts, the IMC aims to contribute to global biodiversity conservation, climate action and sustainable development.
