On March 27, 2025, a delegation from the National Ocean Technology Center (NOTC) visited the Interim Secretariat of the International Mangrove Center (IMC), engaging in in-depth exchanges on areas such as mangrove ecological monitoring and restoration technologies, capacity building, and international cooperation.

Prof. Bao Daming, Director General of the Interim Secretariat of the IMC, extended a warm welcome to the representatives of the NOTC and introduced the center's development, key areas of focus and recent work. He pointed out that the NOTC has outstanding professional capabilities in Ocean planning, ecological restoration and technological research and development. He expressed the hope that both sides could enhance collaboration in areas such as technological exchanges, capacity building and international cooperation, and jointly promote the global protection and restoration of mangroves.
Ms. Wu Shanshan, deputy director and researcher of the NOTC, said that she is willing to deepen case studies and technical cooperation with IMC to jointly explore innovative paths for mangrove monitoring, ecological governance and international collaboration. At the same time, the core business and achievements in international cooperation of the NOTC were introduced.
The meeting laid a solid foundation for future collaboration between the two parties. Both sides agreed to enhance communication and coordination, leverage their respective platform and research strengths, and collaborate in areas such as ecological protection, monitoring and assessment, and capacity building. Together, they aim to contribute significantly to the global conservation and restoration of mangrove ecosystems.
